This project focuses on cheetah conservation within the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Of particular focus is monitoring cheetah cubs and fending off potential predators to raise their chances of reaching adulthood. The organization also has built a library in a village near the reserve to help educate the community about their work and the importance of the delicate balance of the savannah. Keiyo photographer Laurent Baheux is an Ambassador for the organization.
About the Artist
Born in France, Laurent began his career photographing sports and current affairs before devoting his life to nature photography. In 2007, he won his first award for his wildlife photography and the accolades have continued for his individual images, collections, and books. He has spent the past 15 years photographing the creatures and landscapes in protected regions around the world. He has published nearly a dozen photography books.
