Over 600 million people on the planet don’t have access to clean water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Many live in rural areas and spend hours each day walking to collect water for their families, impacting education, income, and health - especially for women and children. charity:water invests all funds into organizations with years of experience to build sustainable, community-owned water projects around the world, including wells, piped systems, BioSand filters, or rainwater harvesting systems. They also promote sanitation and hygiene training and establish local Water Committees to ensure progress continues. We are so impressed with charity:water and hope to continue supporting their efforts for years to come.
About the Artist
Raphael Rapior is a German-born photographer best known for his portraiture, especially headshots, mostly in black and white. Self-taught, Raphael hopes that his work serves as a mirror between cultures, where beneath the beauty of diversity lies the similarities of all humankind, connecting us all. He is currently focusing his work on Jamaica and its music scene, both on the island and abroad. It was during a show in New York City that he first conceived the idea for Keiyo. Also a social entrepreneur, he is Founder and Curator of the Keiyo Art Gallery and its street shows
