Keiyo gives half of all proceeds from sales to select charitable organizations and projects dedicated to social issues and environmental justice. We work alongside our photographers to find groups which adhere to the Keiyo philosophy and are transparent and sustainable. Trust is critical to this relationship. We track our donations so the photographer and collector is aware of how the purchase of each image has impacted the organization or project.
The organizations we support
Over 600 million people on the planet don’t have access to clean water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Many live in rural areas and spend hours each day walking to collect water for their families, impacting education, income, and health - especially for women and children. charity:water invests all funds into organizations with years of experience to build sustainable, community-owned water projects around the world, including wells, piped systems, BioSand filters, or rainwater harvesting systems. They also promote sanitation and hygiene training and establish local Water Committees to ensure progress continues. We are so impressed with charity:water and hope to continue supporting their efforts for years to come.
Established in 2001, Oceana is an international organization focused solely on protecting our oceans. The organization protected more than 1.2 million square miles of ocean and is working to restore the world’s wild fish populations to ensure fish is a sustainable source of protein for all.
Cheetah For Ever
This project focuses on cheetah conservation within the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Of particular focus is monitoring cheetah cubs and fending off potential predators to raise their chances of reaching adulthood. The organization also has built a library in a village near the reserve to help educate the community about their work and the importance of the delicate balance of the savannah. Keiyo photographer Laurent Baheux is an Ambassador for the organization.

Founded by award-winning photographer and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Sebastião Salgado and his wife in 1998, Instituto Terra’s mission focuses on environmental research, education, applied scientific research, and restoring the fragile subtropical rainforest ecosystem in and around a former cattle ranch near Salgado’s home town of Aimorés, Brazil. Salgado is an economist who found his calling with photography while working with the World Bank in Africa. He has published numerous books which focus on nature, environmental awareness, and human communities which live in accordance to their ancestral traditions and cultures. He and his work are the subject of the film The Salt of the Earth (2014), which won a special award at Cannes and was nominated for a 2015 Academy Award.
Australian Marine Conservation Society
Since 1965, the AMCS has been a voice for Australia’s ocean wildlife. They focus on creating large marine sanctuaries and protecting ocean wildlife, as well as campaigning for sustainable fisheries. Much of their work focuses on building resilience against climate change and improving water quality for sea life, and recent work has been focused on the Great Barrier Reef. Keiyo photographer Dave Sandford lived in Australia for a time and was inspired by the wildlife and waves, and supports the AMCS for the work they do to preserve this beloved place.
